2016 Sharing the Coast Conference
We are pleased to invite you to join Oregon Shores/CoastWatch and NAME for a full weekend of presentations, workshops and field experiences to help you build your knowledge and skills in interpreting the coastline.
This conference is an annual collaboration between CoastWatch (the volunteer program of the Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition) and the Northwest Aquatic and Marine Educators (NAME). This time around, “Sharing the Coast” will take place in Coos Bay sponsored by the Southwestern Oregon Community College, with morning presentations and afternoon field trips around the area on Saturday and Sunday. The ever popular No-Host Happy Hour & Trivia Night will begin at 5:30 PM on Saturday evening.
Friday evening we will host a Community Speaker to kick off the conference. This event is free to attend and open to all. Registration is required for the majority of the conference on Saturday and Sunday. Refreshments and Saturday lunch are included in the price. Sunday lunch will be on your own.
On Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday all lectures and workshops are held at the Southwestern Oregon Community College: 1988 Newmark Avenue, Coos Bay OR 97420
